Hosted in Sound Collective’s New York City studios, you’ll learn how producers lay down beats, structure a loop, and start turning an idea into something that actually sounds like a track. Whether you’ve never opened a DAW or have been curious about music production for years, the Production Basics workshop gives you a real first experience making music from scratch. No experience or prerequisites required. [However, RSVP is required.](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) Workstations are available on a **first-come, first-served basis**, so we recommend arriving early to secure a spot. If all workstations are taken by the time you arrive, you’re still more than welcome to join the session, observe, and jump on the gear during open practice time!
