Organizer’s description

Tashi Delek Mipham Shedra Community- We are very pleased to announce that Lhoppön Rinpoche will be giving a public talk on Sunday, November 1st at *Denver Yoga Underground*, located in the beautiful Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver. The talk will begin at 3:30pm, and conclude by 5:30pm. Rinpoche will give a short talk on why the Buddhist teachings are especially relevant for the current situation in the world today. He will then offer a guided mindfulness meditation practice. Rinpoche will also invite questions from the attendees. He truly believes that creating space for an open dialogue and discussion is essential to develop connection and understanding among the diverse communities and perspectives in the world today. We are urging all Sangha members to attend- and to invite family, friends, and other members of your work and cultural communities to this talk. It is an excellent opportunity to introduce Rinpoche and his teachings to those without much familiarity with Buddhism or meditation- but are curious about a teaching and practice that offers insight, wisdom and a deeper understanding of the mind. Rinpoche's talk will focus on consciousness. He feels this is an experience all beings share. By establishing a common ground, we can share the adventure of exploring our minds and emotions together. This way, we begin to recognize patterns and stories we all experience, and get a glimpse of a deeper reality hidden behind the activity of our very busy minds.
