Organizer’s description

Let's start the week with a healthy hike! Washington Lake Park is a lovely park with woodland and paved trails, wetlands, plus 3 ponds. Toilets are available. Note, we are now parking in lot D next to the park office This will be an easy to moderate paced hike of 1.5 to 2 hours and 3.5 to 4 miles. There will be a few 'easy outs' available along with opportunities for extra loops for those who want more challenge. This is a good hike for beginners, with challenge for experienced hikers. The park has 2 entrances: on Greentree Rd between Chapel Heights and Hurffville Cross Keys Rd, (.3 miles north of Duffield’s) and another on Hurffville Cross Keys road west of Greentree. Park in lot D next to the park office, look for my white Crosstrek. NOTE: 9:30am IS STARTING TIME. ARRIVE BY 9:15 SO YOU HAVE TIME TO ADJUST SHOES AND SIGN IN. WE WILL LEAVE ON TIME. Dogs aren't permitted on the trails or fields. If you have questions you can ask them here or email me at becky.ocsjhike@gmail.com.
