Serious Strategy: Cities and Knights of Catan

Interested in a board game meetup with a focus on games with deeper strategy and more replayability? Prefer spending your time diving into gameplay rather than learning new rules every session? “Serious Strategy” is a meetup series designed for those who enjoy thoughtful, engaging games that reward repeated play. We focus on revisiting well-regarded strategy titles that offer depth and challenges not found in more casual or party-style games, offering the opportunity to match wits with other strategically-inclined players. Four rules: 1. Learn the game ahead of time *(rulebook and/or videos will be provided)* 2. Respect your fellow gamers and the game *(be timely and take the game seriously)* 3. Support the venue *(order a drink or food from the cafe)* 4. Sign up here **and** [on the Google Spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r9DWSb-GFbXM1etp0E0gCsld_TXhOLSN9M4Hx1xdnGc) to reserve your slot *(so we know which game you're playing)* This week's games: **Cities and Knights of Catan** **Cities and Knights of Catan** This full-bodied expansion introduces more nuanced developments of cities, interactive knights, battles against barbarians, and more, transforming Settlers of Catan from the classic gateway game to a deeper, heavier experience. Once you play Cities and Knights, you'll never want to go back to the base game again.
