Skandia Folkdance Society's 72nd Annual Skandia Ball!

Skandia's 72nd Annual Ball will be both live AND virtual! The dance is held at the **Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036**. You can choose to attend in person or via Zoom. Singles welcome as well as couples. First timers can attend for free! With autumn's arrival comes the Skandia Ball, returning this October for its 72nd year as Skandia’s annual reunion and gala dance. This year's festivities take place at Cedar Valley Grange, beginning with a potluck dinner at 6:15 PM. Plates, cups, and utensils will be provided. Dancing begins at 7:30 PM with a Grand March designed by Jerry Walsh, followed by long sets from Skandia Kapell and Fat Fiddles, and an Allspel led by Peter Michaelsen. Two short sets by other well-known Skandia musicians round out the evening’s dance program. Continuous live music will carry dancers through 10:30 PM — three hours of movement, music, and community — at Skandia’s usual Third Friday Dance admission: $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers.
