Dr. Mark Kvarta (NIMH, Experimental Therapeutics & Pathophysiology Branch) presents his research on excitatory/inhibitory balance and cortical gamma oscillations in treatment-resistant depression. His work uses MEG and EEG to investigate the neural circuit mechanisms underlying TRD, with implications for developing targeted interventions like ketamine.
