A three-session intermediate and advanced figure-drawing class covering gesture, proportion, shading and realistic volume, guided by Gaby with demonstrations and individual critiques.
Develop graphite figure-rendering skills with one model holding the same pose across three sessions, with daily demonstrations and individual critiques for intermediate and advanced artists.
Class dates: October 12\, 19\, & 26 \| 6:30\-9:30pm Learn to shade and render complex forms on the human figure in graphite, working with one model and the same pose for three sessions. Gaby will guide you from capturing accurate gesture and proportion, to understanding light physics and gradients to render realistic volumes. This class is suited for intermediate and advanced artists. Demos and individual critiques daily. **Materials:** Strathmore 400 series Drawing Paper, smallest 9”x12” or largest 18”x24” 4H, 2H, H, HB pencils (Staedler brand recommended) Kneaded eraser Tombow mono zero eraser, round tip (highly recommended)
