Volunteer help with weekly food pantry distribution in West Humboldt Park.
Come help support the largest food pantry in West Humboldt Park, with Mission of Our Lady of the Angels. The nuns and volunteers are currently helping feed 4,000 families each month, with an average of 500 families every Tuesday morning. Please refer to this page link for a detailed description of what you will be doing and sign up on their Signup Genius form. DETAILS FOR VOLUNTEERING AT THE TUESDAY PANTRY: Where: 3814 W. Iowa St. (School) Parking: Please park at the parking lots at 3800 W. Chicago Ave (entrance off Hamlin), 824 N. Hamlin (Kelly Hall), or 900/902 N. Avers (grass lot) When: Every Tuesday (except for major holidays, check with their website for up to date schedule) Time: Arrive at 7:30 AM. (If you cannot come until later, we would still love to have you. Let us know your arrival time when you sign up). The pantry concludes around 12 pm. While the nuns at this mission are of Catholic faith, they serve families of all faiths in the community and you do not need to be Catholic to volunteer and help.
